Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between Zena Patient and Zena Guardian?
Zena Patient is worn by the person recovering and reads vitals, location, and activity. Zena Guardian is worn by the family member who needs to know, and shows the same data live. They're paired to each other out of the box.
Do I need both watches, or can I buy one?
You can start with just Zena Patient and monitor through the app instead of a second watch. Zena Guardian is there if you want the same alerts on your own wrist without checking your phone.
How does it detect a fall?
Zena Patient reads sudden impact and unusual stillness. If it detects a possible fall, it prompts the wearer to confirm they're okay. No response within a short window sends an automatic alert to Zena Guardian and the app.
What happens if the watch loses signal or dies?
Zena Guardian gets notified immediately if Zena Patient goes offline or the battery drops critically low, so a gap in monitoring is never a silent one.
Is my data private?
Vitals and location data only go to the watches and app you pair together. It's not sold, shared with advertisers, or used for anything outside your own account.
When does it launch, and where?
We're releasing soon, starting in Central Florida with early access users, before opening up more broadly. Join the early access list to get a spot in the first batch.

We're building on real hardware, not a mockup

The board we're prototyping on costs about $50 a unit. That number doesn't include the HealthZena software, a custom back enclosure, buttons, the strap, final industrial design, packaging, or manufacturing and certification. Right now this hardware is a development platform, not the retail product, and we're upfront about that with anyone looking at the numbers below.

What we think this is worth today, and where it could go

HealthZena is pre revenue. We don't have customers or a sales history, so the usual ways of valuing a company off revenue don't really apply yet. Based on where things stand right now, the concept, the site, the software work so far, the hardware prototype, and the waitlist we've already built, a reasonable estimate is somewhere between $150,000 and $400,000, with $250,000 as a fair starting point for a conversation. This is an early, informal estimate. It hasn't been independently appraised or confirmed by the market.
